Angela and I are both lawyers working in London. We have been holidaying in Italy for many years and increasingly found that Umbria was our favourite part of Italy. We had one of those dangerous conversations on a Friday night after a bottle of red wine, when we were aged 45, which started “What do you want to have done before you turn 50?” and ended up with buying Valliano. So we credit the red wine and keep buying more bottles in the hope of finding further inspiration.
